We know how hard it is to break into the Public Relations and events world in San Diego. What you hear is true: this area of expertise and market really is all about who you know and how happy you can make them. We’re looking for an intern that is social, savvy, innovative, great at networking, hard-working, eager to learn and excited to be a part of all the Buzz. We love working hands-on with interns dedicated to preparing for their future.
We’re passionate about everything we do. We work hard to play hard. In fact, often our work is play. A day of work with Delicious Buzz could include researching a Client and it’s competition, writing a press release, pitching spot coverage to TV anchors or a local magazine, updating Client’s Facebook Fan Pages, Tweeting top news, brainstorming sponsors for next month’s big event, negotiating an event venue or vendor contract and (yes, and.. in the Communications world this often all happens in the same day!) calling a list of private event invitees that have yet to RSVP to an event we’re hosting in two weeks. Sometimes we have long nights and sometimes we work events on the weekends. Sometimes we set-up, throw a party and stay for clean-up. Sometimes we simply go to our Client’s parties to… party and be supportive. If you aren’t running the other way, this could be a great internship for you!
THE DETAILS : Each internship is for a period of 4 or more months and for college credit and/or career experience only. We ask for a commitment of 24 hours/week or whatever is required by your University to earn credit. Internships can focus on one or two of the following areas: public relations, events or social media. All applicants are required to be currently living in the San Diego area. Please do not apply if you do not have Public Relations or Marketing experience or are not currently enrolled in or graduating from a Communications program at your college/university. Internships are non-paid, but please realize that we are looking for our next potential hires.
