“I Like It On…”

I AM NOT GOING TO AMSTERDAM FOR 26 MONTHS, but my Status on my personal Facebook Page told everyone I was last Friday.

This post is part of this year’s social media awareness campaign for breast cancer (…hope I’m not letting the ‘cat out of the bag’ too early, since the Campaign just started). Like 2011′s similar campaign last January, “I Like It On…” (check it out here http://goo.gl/QNW9 and here http://goo.gl/TKka) breast cancer awareness social media BUZZ has taken off again this year. **Ahem my 32 comments, 29 text messages and voicemail inbox being full twice in one day because of this status update…**

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE that you all love me so much ;) And, some who commented, texted or called I hadn’t heard from for months, a year, or on a regular basis at all (it was really nice hearing from you, but it’d be nicer to hear from you more regularly when I’m not “relocating to the another continent”). But, then I started feeling bad, kind of like the ‘boy (girl) who cried wolf’. I mean, heaven forbid I actually go to Amsterdam, or another country, on a long trip later this year (p.s. Australia IS in the works – Just FYI!). Will anyone believe my status after this?

This is NOT a Delicious Buzz campaign, but I still want to know your thoughts: fun, Buzz-worthy, explicit, a little too misguided??

PLEASE COMMENT BELOW! WITH ENOUGH COMMENTS I’ll be writing a story to send to our SoCal press contacts and you just might get a little dose of famous for a hot minute when I quote you based on your amazing comment!

Whatever your thoughts, cheers to social media keeping true to its promise of being social on levels that weren’t possible before Facebook, Twitter, a Blog, etc.!

Deliciously yours,
Tiffany

  1. Ok. So this was the only Facebook “campaign” that I participated in because I just happened to be going to London. For my close friends and family, seeing this post was a huge scare because I have been talking about moving there since my trip there in September. Oops. Like you, Tiffany, my phone started going off with friends and colleagues freaking out. “How can you leave your business? What about your kids?” LOL! It’s been almost a week and I’m still playing recovery mode.

Awww and here I thought you would take that flight there :) according to my baby sister Amsterdam is beautiful she has made her way there during a layover to S. Africa. Awwww Austrailia that was in the works for me 2012 but unfortunately my baby sister is returning to the States after living a year in Melbourne, Aus. Have fun and looking forward to that status update :) Luve ya **HUGS**
